The surrealism series came about as a personal deeper understanding about the nature of motion design. I realized most prominent works of motion design are based on surrealism knowingly or unknowingly. Thinking of such, I explored a serial of two directions on surrealism in 2D and 3D.
Depending on the type of work the workflow and time varied upon mediums. As 3D took more consideration to various elements such as depth, light, color, and form while 2D was a matter of graphic composition with manipulating readily available color and form.
From here on, I decided to further explore my 2D direction as a potential for a motion piece. Plotting out the story beats of the formation of my surrealist piece.
